You may need a working copy of a PDF that otherwise asks for a password each time. This process does not discover a forgotten password: it opens the document with a password you already know and saves a separate PDF without one.
Anyone with the new copy can open it. Decide where it should be stored and who may receive it before removing protection, especially for signed or organization-managed documents.

What if you do not know the password?
The tool cannot find a forgotten password. Check the original authoring app or your password records for a document you created. If someone else sent the file, ask them for the opening password or an accessible copy. Do not use the tool to bypass somebody else's restrictions.
Opening passwords and copy restrictions are different
Some PDFs ask for a password before they open; others open but limit printing or copying. The first controls access to the content, while the second asks compliant PDF viewers to enforce usage permissions. Toolit's unlocked output is a separate copy without the old password and print/copy restrictions.
Only change documents when you have the right to do so.
Check the document after saving
The tool verifies page count and password status, but you should inspect tables, forms, attachments, and fonts in an important document yourself. Rewriting a PDF can affect digital signature validation. Keep the signed original and use the original signing app when signature validity matters.
The tool accepts one PDF up to 50MiB on desktop or 20MiB on mobile. Large files can still exceed a device's memory.
Manage the unlocked copy deliberately
Do not leave it in a public folder or broadly accessible link. Confirm that recipients need a password-free file and manage the downloaded copy yourself. Toolit does not upload the PDF or password, but it cannot control where you store or forward the result.
