Privacy Policy

Audio, video, and other files you select are processed only on your device for conversion, extraction, or editing. They are not uploaded to a Toolit server.

Screen Recorder previews or records only the screen you permit the browser to share and your optional microphone audio and webcam video, on your device. Camera permission is requested only when webcam is enabled, and the camera is active during preview. The shared picture, audio, webcam video, and recording are not sent to a server. Pause stops file recording but keeps device connections active. Finish recording, cancel the screen selection, or close the page to end capture.

Passing a completed recording to Video to GIF also uses only the memory of the same browser session. The handoff can be used once and expires after two minutes. Recording contents and filenames are not placed in the URL or retained in persistent browser storage.

Selected files and results are not retained after you refresh or close the page. Only the result files you choose to download remain on your device.

Toolit does not require an account and does not collect or store file names, file contents, or conversion results.

• Theme preference: your light or dark theme selection is stored in browser localStorage.
• Tool likes: liking a tool saves a random identifier for that tool in localStorage. The server stores the tool name and a hash of the identifier until you unlike it or the feature is discontinued. Clicking again deletes the like record. It is not linked to identifiers for other tools or file data; only totals are public. Clearing browser storage may prevent you from restoring or removing a previous like.
• Connection data: our hosting and security providers may process standard connection data such as IP address, browser information, and access time.
• Contact information: if you use the contact form or email us, the message type, related tool, message, and optional reply email are used to respond, investigate errors, and improve the service.

The contact form does not accept attachments, and files selected in a Toolit tool are not sent with your message. Do not include original file contents, passwords, or sensitive personal information in your message.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and navigation between public pages. Google may process cookies and other online identifiers, device and browser information, and connection data. These visit analytics are separate from the operation-level statistics described below.

GA4 uses Google’s basic tag and may process page URLs and titles, referral information, and automatic measurements configured in its administration interface. Toolit does not implement custom GA4 events that send filenames, file contents, outputs, or form input contents. Depending on automatic measurement settings, search terms, link and download information, or form interactions may be collected, so do not put sensitive information in URLs or links. See Google’s explanation of partner-site data use for details.

Toolit may collect anonymous usage events such as tool starts, completions, downloads, errors, and cancellations to improve useful tools and identify failures.

• Collected: tool used, operation status, file count, completed-file count, failed sequence position, bucketed processing time, language and device class, South Korea or another region, categorized traffic source, a generalized error code, deployment version, and operator-test status
• Not collected: file contents or names, output files, shared screen content, microphone audio, webcam video, recordings, QR input, exact file size, or a persistent identifier used to recognize an individual user

Toolit may create random, temporary run and event identifiers to connect the start, result, and download of one operation. A new identifier is created for each operation and is not reused to connect separate visits or recognize a user.

These analytics are stored in Cloudflare analytics and database services for up to 90 days and used only for error analysis and tool quality improvements. They are not used for ad personalization or individual activity profiles. Analytics storage does not delay file processing, and a failed analytics request does not affect the file tool.

Toolit may use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google and its advertising partners may process cookies, IP addresses, and device or browser information for ad delivery, measurement, and personalization.

Toolit uses Cloudflare services for website hosting, security, traffic delivery, usage analytics, and contact submissions.

In providing these services, Cloudflare may process connection information, usage statistics, and information submitted through contact requests. The types of information Toolit collects and retains, the purposes of processing, and retention periods are described in the sections above.

Information processing related to Google Analytics and Google advertising is described in the 'Usage analytics' and 'Google advertising' sections, respectively.

Toolit does not retain your files or conversion results. A theme preference stored in your browser may remain until you clear browser data or localStorage.

Contact-form messages and optional reply email addresses are retained in a Cloudflare database for up to 180 days and then deleted. Information that is no longer needed for a response or investigation may be deleted earlier.

You may use browser privacy settings, delete cookies, or block advertising, although some ads or website features may then appear differently.

Toolit is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly provide a service intended to collect their personal information. Parents and guardians should ensure that children do not enter personal information in the contact form or an email.
