Combine Text from Multiple Images into One TXT File

Work through a set of photographed pages, check order and OCR errors image by image, keep successful results when one fails, and save a combined TXT.

When notes span several photos, copying each result into a document can become the slowest part. Check the page sequence and missing images before treating the combined text as a complete record.

Toolit combines successful OCR results into a TXT file with filename markers when more than one image succeeds. A failed image does not erase the successful ones, but every page still needs review.

Start with these choices

Check sequence first

Use page numbers and filenames to spot gaps.

Correct each image

Compare each result with its source photo.

Handle failures separately

Save successful text, then prepare the failed image again.

How to do it in your browser

  1. 1

Choose up to ten JPG, PNG, or WEBP images. Limits are 15MB and 25 megapixels per image, 50MB total.

  2. 2

Check the image list, choose the printed language, and start extraction.

  3. 3

Select each image to compare its editable result against the original. Correct errors and check the Done or Failed status.

  4. 4

Copy all or download TXT. When several images succeeded, the combined text uses [filename] headings. Recheck order and missing pages.

What the combined TXT contains

When two or more images succeed, each text block begins with its source [filename] and blocks are separated by a blank line. That marker helps trace a questionable sentence back to a photo. If only one image succeeds, the output contains just its text.

TXT does not retain a photo's layout, column positions, or table grid. Do not mistake it for a reconstruction of the original pages.

When one image fails

Completed results stay available even if another image fails. Preserve the successful text, then check whether the failed source is blurred, cropped, or in a supported format. Retaking that image is often more useful than recopying every page.

Changing the recognition language clears extracted and hand-edited text. Copy or download any edits before changing the language.

Final checks before sharing

Compare filenames, page numbers, and sentence flow to find missing or repeated pages. Verify important names and figures image by image, and keep the source photos. If the text is sensitive, manage the saved TXT and its recipients yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Does one failed image erase everything?

No. You can still copy or download the successfully extracted text.

Does the tool sort photos into page order automatically?

No automatic document-page detection is promised. Check the file list and the text sequence yourself.

Can I tell which photo produced each block?

Yes, when several images succeed, each block begins with its filename in square brackets. A single successful image has no marker.
